An ethereal and immersive concert

On June 21, 2020, Jean-Michel Jarre celebrated the Fête de la Musique with a groundbreaking event: a virtual reality concert. “Alone Together” (Seul ensemble) was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and brought together over 600,000 participants on the VRROOM 3D digital platform and on YouTube through a live stream.

A hybrid concert at the Palais Royal in Paris

During this event, Jean-Michel Jarre's avatar took the stage in place of the French composer and producer. A "silent" broadcast of the virtual concert was also offered in the courtyard of the Palais Royal to a select group of students from arts and performing schools.

Interactive and immersive experience.

The concert became truly exceptional through eight tailor-made immersive animations, one for each performance in the concert. The space continually evolves and transforms during the show, whisking the audience away into a dreamlike and surreal reality. Furthermore, several interactive experiences were designed to make the event even more personalized, including various virtual elements that, when interacted with, alter the perception of the space.
